Allegheny Chapter

The Allegheny Chapter of the BMW Car Club

2016 Starts with a BANG!

This year’s Post Holiday Party is one that will not soon be forgotten.  Saturday night began with a buzz as the BMW CCA National Board of Directors and the National Office Staff arrived for the festivities.  Most of us are accustomed to seeing their faces every summer in Schenley Park during the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix weekend but this was completely different.

Our Chapter President, George Snyder, kicked things off around 7:30 with a warm welcome before handing it over to Frank Patek, BMW CCA Executive Director who introduced everyone from National.  What happened next was not expected….

This is the fourth time that this prestigious honor has been awarded.  Previous winners include BMW Motored Club Malaysia (2014), BMW CCA Foundation (2013) and BMW Car Club New Zealand (2012).  Achievements in growth and social responsibility are two of the criteria that qualify a club for this award.  The Chapter’s hard work and dedication over the years with the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (PVGP) and the money we have raised for the PVGP charities, has contributed to this success.

“To all the members past and present. This award is the ultimate recognition of all the energy, effort and long hours that you all have put in over the years. Thank you for all you do!

Thank you to Steve Johnson and Frank Patek and the rest of the National BMW CCA board for coming to Pittsburgh in January to attend the Post Holiday party and present the Chapter with this prestigious award.”

~ George Snyder, Allegheny Chapter President
