DESCRIPTION:Join the Allegheny Chapter for our popular pre-PVGP Friday Tour. This year’s drive will reprise a club favorite: a tour of the scenic Covered Bridges of Southwestern Pennsylvania\, with lunch to follow at the aimless Century Inn. Registration for the Friday drive covers the cost of lunch at the Century Inn. Cost for the tour and lunch is $45 per person. The Century Inn is a 200-year-old inn\, nestled in the quaint village of Scenery Hill. Opened in 1794\, the inn has hosted famous historic characters such as James K. Polk\, General Santa Anna\, Marquis de Lafayette\, Albert Gallatin\, David Bradford\, Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Jackson. Join the club for lunch. Route details to follow.

DESCRIPTION:Join us Saturday\, April 12 for our Dust Off Drive\, our first drive of the year! We’ll begin our day by meeting at the Mall at Robinson\, in the Macy’s second floor exterior entrance parking lot. We’ll leave around 10:15 am\, and take twisty fun roads through Clinton\, Hanover\, Frankfort Springs\, and Hookstown\, PA\, on our way to our Rest Stop and Photo Op at Tomlinson Run State Park in New Manchester\, WV. From there we will wind our way north across the Ohio River\, and to our final destination at the Vault\, a unique restaurant and rooftop bar in a renovated historic bank building in East Liverpool\, OH. Lunch will be at your expense at the restaurant. There will be a $15 per car Driver’s Fee. The drive is limited to 24 cars. \nDon’t miss this one–we’ll visit three states and have lunch in around three hours! Look forward to seeing you on April 12th!

DESCRIPTION:Bimmers at Carlisle!\n\nMay 10th & 11th\nCarlisle Import and Performance Regionals\nHosted by the Nittany Bimmers Chapter of the BMW CCA\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Allegheny Chapter has been cordially invited by our neighbors the Nittany Bimmers to attend a BMW CCA Regional Event that they are hosting at this year’s Import and Performance Nationals in Carlisle\, PA. Last year they had a great turn out and are planning for an even larger BMW showfield this year. Owners can exhibit their cars\, socialize with members\, and see the over 1700 unique and stunning imported vehicles of current and historic makes. There will also be vendors for performance products\, car care products\, a flea market\, and accessories displayed throughout the infield show area. \nSeveral Import & Performance Nationals exhibition events are also planned. This will include drive through judging\, autocross\, drifting\, exhaust competition\, and more. \nThis year the Nittany Bimmers plan to have discussion sessions\, BMW technical information\, and car care presentations by some of our vendors in our expanded covered tent area. \n*The Allegheny Chapter will be planning group drives from the Pittsburgh area to Carlisle on both Friday May 10th and Saturday May 11th. More information on this will be forthcoming.* \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor those who come into town early before the show\, the Nittany Chapter is planning to meet at the Rolls Royce Foundation Museum on Thursday\, May 9th in nearby Mechanicsburg. DESCRIPTION:Please join us on November 4\, 2023\, for our Last Drive of 2023 as we make our way on rural highways to the Flight 93 Memorial. \nOur day will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Bobby Rahal BMW in Canonsburg for a BMW Q&A session. Morning refreshments including juice\, coffee and Danish will be provided\, thanks to the awesome team at Rahal! If you have specific BMW questions\, you can email them to me ahead of time at chriswadsworthwv@gmail.com\, and I’ll pass them on to Rahal BMW so they can include them in the Q&A. \nWe will begin our tour at around 10:30 a.m.\, and have a Rest Stop a little over an hour into the drive in the Mt. Pleasant/Donegal area. Forty minutes later we will be in Somerset\, PA for lunch at Rey Azteca\, a great Mexican restaurant. At around 1:45 p.m. we will make the final 25 minute trek to the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville. The Memorial has many interactive exhibits that honor the 40 fallen heroes of United Flight 93 on September 11\, 2001. \nThe drive will take about 3.5-4 hours\, including the Rest Stop and lunch\, and will be a mix of Spirited and Leisurely driving. Due to the restaurant size\, the tour is limited to 24 cars and 30 total people. The cost is $15 per car driver’s fee. Lunch will be at your expense at the restaurant. The Flight 93 Memorial admission is free. DESCRIPTION:2023 Fall Leaves Tour\nPlease join us on October 14 for our Fall Leaves Tour! We will meet at Washington Crown Center Mall\, and make our way southwest to Moundsville\, West Virginia. Hopefully we will see some scenic fall foliage along the way. \nWhen we reach Moundsville\, lunch will be on your own at Mason Dixon BBQ\, El Gran Patron Mexican Restaurant\, or your choice of other fine eateries in the downtown Moundsville area. \nWe will all reconvene at 2:00 pm for a tour of West Virginia Penitentiary\, a gothic-style prison in Moundsville that operated from 1876 to 1995. The pen has a multitude of things to see\, and we will hear numerous interesting stories from the Tour Guides on what went on there for 100-plus years. This tour was extremely popular with the Chapter members when we visited four years ago. \nThe drive from Washington Crown Center to the Moundsville restaurant area will take about 2.5 hours\, with a rest stop\, and will be a mix of Spirited and Leisurely driving. The tour is limited to 30 cars and 50 people total (the tour capacity number at the Penitentiary). The cost is $15 per car driver’s fee\, and $15 per person for the Penitentiary tour. \nWe look forward to seeing you on the drive! \nRegistration will be limited to 30 vehicles. \n\nWhen: Saturday\, October 14th at 10:00 AM\nDrive rating:  On this tour participants can expect a mix of leisurelyand spirited pace\nDrive duration: ~2.5 hours\nRest stops: One at the halfway point of the drive\n\n\nA GPX file and directions will be provided before the drive. If you have any questions\, please contact the tourmeister at chriswadsworthwv@gmail.com
