SUMMARY:St. Patrick's Day Go-Karting @ Three Rivers Karting
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by Go-Karting with the Allegheny Chapter!!! \n The Allegheny Chapter is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday\, March 17th by hosting a fun round of indoor karting at Three Rivers Karting in Leetsdale\, PA followed by food and libations in their Bar & Grill!!  3RK was selected as one of the World’s Greatest Indoor Karting Facilities in 2020.  It’s a state-of-the-art facility with electric karts capable of speeds up to 50 MPH with a multiple configuration track. \nParticipants must arrive by 6:30 PM for sign in and safety presentation\, and the track is ours from 7 PM to 8 PM.  This will be a private session for Allegheny Chapter members.  Registration is limited due to the number of kart seats available\, and all karts are single person vehicles. DESCRIPTION:Autoality Detailer’s and Club Day! \nMembers of the BMW CCA Allegheny Chapter have been invited to an open house at the Autoality Detailer’s Club on March 7th from 1 pm to 4pm.   Autoality is a detailers club located in a warehouse in the North Hills. Autoality partners with various vendors for this trade show.  We expect 20-25 vendors to be on site providing attendees the chance to ask questions of experts\, see the latest detailing products\, experience live product demonstrations\, and conduct mini hands-on classes.  This event should be of special interest for anyone who likes to show their car\, participate in concours events\, or simply likes to keep a clean car.  Lunch\, snacks and refreshments will be provided.  There is no charge for this event\, but Autoality has requested that we provide a head count.  As the days grow longer and we turn our attention to getting our special cars out of winter storage\, this is a great event to get us started for the upcoming driving season. SUMMARY:Weekend Winery Tour - Northern VA. and the Shenandoah Valley
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a two-day excursion through the twisty roads of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley Blue Ridge Mountains of Northern Virginia where we will twisty roads and scenic wineries. Our weekend will be based in and around Front Royal\, VA\, and we will explore the scenery from Luray to Middleburg. \nOn DAY ONE (Saturday 8/16)\, we will depart Front Royal in the morning following a planned route including Skyline Drive through Shenandoah National Park\, and will stop at Mary’s Rock Summit and Stoney Man Overlook. Then we travel to Quievremont Vineyards and Arterra Wineries for tastings and a light lunch. A group dinner is planned for that evening (location TBD). \nOn DAY TWO (Sunday 8/17)\, following breakfast\, we’ll take a short drive to historic Middleburg\, VA\, to browse the local shops and sights during the morning before the wineries open.  Following visits to Greenhill and Slater Run wineries\, we will have a late lunch in Upperville\, VA where the tour ends. \nThe cost is $15 per car Driver’s Fee. Participants are responsible for the cost of their own lodging\, meals\, wine tastings\, etc. A reservation for the Saturday night dinner will be placed by the chapter. A detailed itinerary\, tour routes and addresses of the group meal locations and wineries will be provided to those registered for the event. We will also establish a communication loop exclusive to participants. You must be a BMW CCA member to attend. \nParticipants are strongly encouraged to reserve overnight accommodations as soon as possible while rooms remain available. Driving begins by 9:30 a.m. on Saturday\, therefore you may wish to arrive in Front Royal on Friday\, 8/15.  \nRecommended lodging includes: \n\nDoubletree by Hilton\, Front Royal Blue Ridge Shadows\, 111 Hospitality Drive\, Front Royal\, VA\n\nhttps://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/frrsddt-doubletree-front-royal-blue-ridge-shadows/\nMany rooms still available. DESCRIPTION:Join us Saturday\, April 12 for our Dust Off Drive\, our first drive of the year! We’ll begin our day by meeting at the Mall at Robinson\, in the Macy’s second floor exterior entrance parking lot. We’ll leave around 10:15 am\, and take twisty fun roads through Clinton\, Hanover\, Frankfort Springs\, and Hookstown\, PA\, on our way to our Rest Stop and Photo Op at Tomlinson Run State Park in New Manchester\, WV. From there we will wind our way north across the Ohio River\, and to our final destination at the Vault\, a unique restaurant and rooftop bar in a renovated historic bank building in East Liverpool\, OH. Lunch will be at your expense at the restaurant. There will be a $15 per car Driver’s Fee. The drive is limited to 24 cars. \nDon’t miss this one–we’ll visit three states and have lunch in around three hours! Look forward to seeing you on April 12th!
